Q: What is a toymation video contest and how are the winners selected?

Create a toymation -- a film made using toys or drawn animation (no real people allowed!)-- about Mega Bloks® Halo® and submit it to us at this site between September 1 and October 25, 2012.

Starting September 18, Bloks Brigade members will be able to vote for their favourite videos. The four (4) videos with the highest number of votes in each category will move onto the Face-Off phase (November 6 to November 26), where they will battle against each other. During the Face-Off phase, Bloks Brigade members will vote on the top twenty (20) videos in a knock-out style tournament in order to determine the top video in each of the five (5) categories.

During the Judging Phase (November 27 to December 5), these five (5) top videos (one from each category) will be viewed by our expert panel of judges who will select the the top video overall, all categories combined. The person having submitted this video will receive the grand prize. The persons having submitted the other four (4) top videos having made it to the Judging Phase will each receive a Top of Category prize.

Q: How many categories are there?

There are five categories, as follows:

• Action: Action-packed films with a focus on combat and special effects.
• Comedy: Films that are all about fun and making you laugh!
• Drama: Films that rely primarily on story-telling and character interactions.
• Classic: Films that incorporate elements from classic movie-making, such as silent films or black-and-white.
• Sports: Films that are all about getting active! And yes, dancing is a sport. So is Grifball, for that matter.

You must submit your video in a specific category. You may only submit ONE video per category.

Q: What are the different phases of the contest?

Preparation Phase (August 1 - September 17): Time to get to work! We'll have plenty of tips available on the site to inspire you to build your toymation production. Early submissions will open on September 1st 2012 at 12:00am Eastern Time.

Voting Phase (September 18 - November 5): Bloks brigade members will be voting for their favourite videos on the site.Submissions will remain open until October 25 -- however, you should submit as early as possible to make sure you have enough time to gather votes.

Face-Off Phase (November 6 - November 26): It's an all-out battle for the chance at the grand prize! The top four videos from each category will move on to compete against each other in a knock-out style tournament to determine the representative of each category for the Judging Phase.

Judging Phase (November 27 - December 5): The judges will review the top video from each category to determine the Grand Prize winner, all categories combined.

Q: By when do I need to submit my video to be eligible for the prizes?

You can submit your video Saturday, September 1, 2012 12:00am Eastern Time to Thursday, October 25th, 9pm Eastern Time.

Q: When do I need to vote for my favorite videos?

You can vote on September 18, 2012 to November 5, 2012.

Q: How can I vote?

You can vote by logging into your Bloks Brigade account, OR you can log in using Facebook Connect. Either way, you have to log in before you can vote.

Q: How often I can vote?

You can vote for as many videos as you want, but you can only vote once per video, per phase.
